Prepare for a career in the field of Six Sigma, quality, and process improvements to get job-ready in less than 4 months. The three courses in this specialization will prepare you to take the ASQ-Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) exam and help you master the Six Sigma methodology, advanced statistical techniques, and team management skills to identify existing challenges, and perform process improvements.

The first course, Six Sigma for Process Improvement, explains the core principles and tools of Six Sigma, DFSS frameworks, and aligning Lean Six Sigma with organizational objectives. The second course, Leadership and Team Management, focuses on team organization and helps align performance measures within the organization. The last course, Advanced Statistical Analysis and Tools, describes the statistical tools for process improvement, design of experiments (DOE), and Lean methods.

By completing this specialization, you will be able to:

Explain the core principles of the Six Sigma methodology, including the systems and tools used.

A Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) has a thorough understanding of Six Sigma concepts and techniques for process improvement and basic knowledge of the Lean enterprise. An SSBB uses core Six Sigma philosophies and principles, including supporting systems and tools, to demonstrate team leadership, understand team dynamics, and assign roles and responsibilities. Black Belts lead complex projects, mentor green belts, and train project teams to solve business problems and enhance operational efficiency.

To appear for the ASQ-certified of the define, measure, analyze, improve, you require three years of on-the-job experience in one or more areas of the Certified Six Sigma Black Belt Body of Knowledge (BoK).

Each certification candidate is required to pass an examination that consists of multiple-choice questions that measure comprehension of the Six Sigma Black Belt Body of Knowledge.

The computer-delivered exam has 165 questions, out of which 15 questions are pretest questions that will not be scored, whereas the paper-and-pencil exam has150 questions.
